And Under the light of a disco ball, the chickens slept.
In moments of complete chaos,
is it the elements that ground us?
Finally—something we cannot control.
And yet, we are reliant on it,
because there isn’t enough snow
for the skis we built.
From where are we conjuring the risk?
We sweat without engaging a muscle.
In an enclosed environment,
there is only circularity.
Even amidst the greenest moss,
the image fades.
This is the biggest house in the world,
and the only way to thaw
is to freeze first.
