Arden Conine is a multidisciplinary artist pursuing a BFA at Cornell University (expected 2026). Rooted in printmaking but expanding into sculpture, textiles, and ceramics, Arden’s practice explores play, humor, and perception, inviting curiosity through shifting scales, patterns, and landscapes. Outdoor recreation and the ethos of adaptation—‘there’s no bad weather, only bad clothing’—guide her material engagement and approach to making.
Arden has exhibited at the Tjaden Gallery, the Ink Shop, in Boston, MA, and in outdoor sculpture shows across New York, with recent solo and group exhibitions highlighting immersive environments, soft sculptures, and large-scale prints. Her work has been recognized with the Kip Brady Prize for excellence in printmaking for two years in a row and awarded B.F.A. Creative Research Funding, supporting research integrating mycology and image-transfer processes.
Arden draws inspiration from relationships in nature—trees communicating through mycelial networks, or surprising symbioses between animals—as models for artistic process and human perception. Each work is treated as a ‘fruiting body,’ a visible trace of an interconnected system, reflecting Arden’s commitment to noticing and amplifying the hidden rhythms, relationships, and patterns that shape everyday life.
